A big question I get asked is if a magician should be at a private party, whatever that might be, at a booked function, a house party, or even in a garden setting, and if so, are there many options or benefits?
In truth, there are several different ways to implement a magician at your private party event and several benefits.
How does it work?
Starting with the different ways to implement a magician, there are two different ways you can implement a magician for a private party:

. Locked room magic
Walkaround magic is where your party goes in full swing with everyone gathered and celebrating, having drinks, and talking amongst themselves. At the same time, you can have me working my way around the event, performing and delighting your guests, building up an atmosphere naturally and stopping anyone from talking about the weather.
Locked room magic is more a way of adding mystery to your event. How this works is you have a room set up apart from everything else - it doesn't have to be very big- Where I can set up a space. You can then invite small amounts of people to enter the Lock-in and experience a front-row seat to incredible magic as a surprise before returning to the party to enjoy the rest of their night.
Depending on the atmosphere you want to set, you can choose either option when booking, and both options have their benefits. With walkaround magic, you create a very casual vibe that flows with what everyone else is doing. In contrast, with lock-in magic, you have a surprise for everyone and create an air of mystery about what's happening when people enter that room.
